Known as Pole during the Post Classic Period, Xcaret was a major port of commerce for the Mayan Culture. Small archaeological sites can still be found in the eco-park.

Location: Located 35 miles south of Cancun International Airport and 4 miles south from Playa del Carmen, entrance is located on the Federal Highway 307, the archaeological sites are located within the Xcaret Park, but you can see them without paying the park's entrance fee
