Muyil

One of the oldest Mayan cities is Muyil, it's name means "City of Rabbits" It is located 15 minutes south of Tulum and is situated around a beautiful blue fresh water lake called "La Laguna" (the lagoon).

Although surrounded by thick vegetation, visitors are still able to view the sites three temple groups "El Castillo" (the castle) 45 feet tall, is one of the tallest structures in the east coast.

Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm
Location: Located on the Highway 307 (Chetumal-Escárcega) a 100 miles south of Cancun international Airport, 54 miles south of Playa del Carmen, in the border of Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve.
